Finding Paragraph #3

Why are sports segregated by sex?

Sports being segregated by sex can be benificial but also crucial. Have sports co-ed can increase the teams performance. You have girls that are more educated at a particular sport than a male is. The same goes for the men. If they are not coincided then each team is missing out on another player that is well at playing. This could be a bad thing also. Sports can be about height and weight of a player. In this category the females are more likely to not proceed because men are typically larger in height and muscle size.  http://lawfacultyblog.seattleu.edu/2009/08/31/gender-segregated-sports/

The authors of Playing with the Boys:Why Seperate Is Not Equal in Sports, Eileen McDonagh and Laura Pappano state that "We should not sort athletics by what sex they are, but rather by their skill." This book shows how the mind thinks. The mind thinks that women are the weaker sex while the men are the stronger sex. It gives several examples to why things are unfair. One example is tennis. In tennis women can only play three sets in the majors while the men can play five. There is no reason to why girls are limited in what they do compared to the men.  http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/06/04/sports-and-sexual-segregation/

Women sports are becoming more popular every season but just like anything else that deal with gender, this is controversial. Due to the XI law of 1972, women are able to participate more and more gradually. There are some things that are an equal ratio of males to females such as medical school. When doctors first came about it was men (medicine man). This originated from the Indians. Now women are just as equal to be in the medical field just like men. There is no price that we could repay to equal the rewards that the XI law gave us women. http://reason.com/archives/2001/11/01/good-sports
